Celebrities Irrelevant During Coronavirus?

During the recent global pandemic, a lot of celebrities have decided to speak up and use their popularity to speak on the subject of the coronavirus.

Some of them have provided good messages to give people hope, while others have completely missed the mark, and appear to be completely out of touch with the reality of the current situation.

People are saying that it is easy for a celebrity to pipe up about the current coronavirus crisis and say things like, ‘stay home’ when they have the means to stay home in their luxury homes.

The fact is that they are completely out of touch with the real world, and for them the coronavirus is not going to be the financial struggle that it is for millions of people.

The coronavirus is shedding light on the inequality we have in society, and the fact that celebrities are becoming more and more irrelevant.

The truth is, we will always have clueless celebrities, they have been around as long as humans have.

But to give you an example of just how clueless they are during this global pandemic, celebrity chef and TV star Bobby Flay, who is worth around $30 million, has set up a GoFundMe campaign to help him pay his employees.

On top of this these celebrities, who usually get all the media coverage and attention, suddenly feel upstaged by this headline-hogging virus.

All of a sudden they feel the need to wade in and make themselves heard by making noise and not really contributing anything useful, by telling people stay at home and it will all be fine.

This is great if you live in an 8 bedroom luxury villa, but what all the people living in small city-centre flats?

More importantly, what about all the people that will lose their jobs, due to the corona virus?

What happens when they lose their home because they can’t go to work and pay rent?
